I got tipsy with my guy friend last night of 6 years we have hooked up and always had a weird relationship ( we date other people but still maintain our connection) anyways last night i teased lets just go get married fuck it. He than went on to say he wants a family before marriage and where was this coming from since when did i feel like this. I laughed it off and i said i was joking to not make things awkward he laughed a little and looked away and said “i knew you were”. Do you think i kinda disappointed him cause maybe this was something he was interested in speaking about or it was nothing?

If he wanted more like commitment then he would've told you that shit even bring that topic to table. If you want to turn this relationship into something else then that will be a difficult task. If he is fine with how your relationship is now then why you overthinking it. If he wants something more then he will say the shit.
