My boyfriend says I look different with make up on is that a bad sign?

Depends what he thinks about it, how much make-up you actually use, and, how you feel about make-up in general.

Some women look completely different with and without make-up, that's how much they alter their looks daily. That indicates a deeper insecurity.

That could trigger an insecure guy as well, if he believes that his girlfriend is constantly seeking the attention of other men.

A healthier guy might care if it were to that level, not out of insecurity, but, out of recognition of what it might indicate.

Next time just smirk and ask if he likes it, maybe reveal some of the magic and he can help pick... some minor detail. Who knows, could be fun.
