So I told a girl in class who I'm kinda into that I want to "get to know [her] closer". I phrased it like that as to intentionally avoid rejection, and she responded positively.
Wanting to take it slow, I'll try to talk to her a couple of times before I tell her that I actually like her and proceed to ask her out. The problem here is that there's no way to know how we'll get along ergo how many times we can see each other before I have to shoot my shot.
I tried this strategy with one girl before, and we didn't click at all so the whole thing went nowhere. Given how I asked the question [to the new girl], I also don't know if she's even available in the first place.
Is there any way to account for this uncertainty without spoi my intention too early on? How do I find the balance between too slow and too clingy?

Ask her out before confessing like
She might already know, that depends on girl talk...
I asked her this first question in front of the rest of the girls - which means they might have seen "too much" and already told her that they think I'm into her - which would ruin the whole thing for me...
The next lecture is this afternoon (UTC+1), so let's see if she comes up to me afterwards
What happened ⁉️
@Guy13 hey, guess what? She's fucking taken🤬 Yeah, it's grim up north.
I highly doubt that she actually is though, but it's better to accept it than demanding proof or whatever.
Gotcha... alright. Good luck in Blizzard North... hope your balls don't freeze over ;-)
