Are men scared to message girls they like too?

I know when I like somebody a lot i'm scared to message them, at least not the one to initiate, because I'm worried they might judge me or I come off desperate. But I still do it sometimes. Do guys feel this way too?

Guys aren't afraid when they know she's not just playing around with him. So many women flirt with guys just for the sport of it. Then say "not interested" when he asks her out. This makes guys leery to do it. This is why so many guys will ask girls if they want to "hang out". It implies a date without actually asking for a date. You can't reject him if he never actually fully commits.

It's dependent on the scenario. If it's a girl whose profile I just came across on IG, then nooo way. If it's a girl I actually met and found her social (media, not security number 🤣) I don't see why not. And then if it's a girl who I met (through friends, on my own, whatever) and happened to get her contact, you bet your biscuits I'll be messaging her.

You do realize that by thinking you would only message a guy if you were desperate, you are basically insulting him right? (which by the way makes no sense if you like him)
