Back in the day, you could be a plumber and slightly funny and you’d get a girl.

Now to get a pretty girl. You need to have some social status, money, tall, charming, good looks and physique.

It’s fake and doesn’t seem real anymore. I’m prepared to put in the work. But it just seems fake.
Women have to do no work.

It’s like a 6/10 girl is an 8/10.

might explain why a lot of dirty low-paying blue-collar jobs i. e. plumber, electrician, tradesman, builder etc are struggling to hire people whereas high paying white-collar jobs i. e. lawyer, doctor, accountant, salesperson are more attractive jobs.

of course the entertainment industry i. e. movies, music, sports is where the big bucks are but the chance of the average man making it big is slim to impossible.

I don't blame guys for doing the fake it till you make it route considering the unrealistic standards and expectations placed on them. this wouldn't be needed if we actually put considerably more value into a loving, supportive, caring personality rather than how good-looking, how wealthy, how many social media followers someone has. this not only applies to romantic relationships but to friendships too. cool people want to hang around other cool people and what is considered "cool" these days is materialism and wokeness and openly exploring one's own sexuality. superficiality is at an all-time high, basic manners and decent core values don't matter as much anymore as they use to.

basically you can play the game, change the game or opt out of the game. that's all there is to it.

It's certainly different than what it used to be. Standards have changed over time, probably a lot due to the influence of technology and social media. That and the fact it's not always marriage people are looking for, even as they get older with age. I'm 22 and the amount of people I've seen well into their 20s that want something casual over long term? Combine this with the fact that it's become more difficult for guys, especially the average looking guy with average income. It is what it is 🤷‍♂️

I am not sure if my input as a woman really counts, but here it is anyway.

Having only dated men, its become more clear for me, with time, that dating as a man, can appear harder. I have met very sweet men, who never get any female attention, and if they do, its not very often. I think in particular on social media and dating apps, this is the case in my opinion.

I do not agree that women have to do no work, its just a different experience.
but I think many people in general are very occupied with ""whats out there", getting the girl/guy with the best looks, who makes the most money etc etc. Making it harder to find what you might actually need in a partner.

Quite frankly, this just shows how little you actually know about blue collar jobs. What job do you work? Entry level plumbing pays great. Same for electricians. Do you actually know many people of those and similar professions? Because that is like 99% of what I know, and most of not all tend to be very successful, married men. Maybe you should actually go out and get some real life interaction with people instead of reading about it online.

Think of it this way. Does a garden ever need to chase butterflies? Forget dating, focus on your life purpose and on this journey, you will become more attractive, more selective and women will be drawn to you. This is providing you are at least some what attractive. And I will assume you are also building up your body and health, while building up the rest of your life. Often it is the men that aren't on their purpose that chases women. Dating is when a man goes out, plans everything, picks her up and pays for the privilege to prove his worth to the woman! This is because deep down he doesn't know his worth because he has no idea why he's even on this planet. But when you do know your worth, you will be the one assessing whether she's good enough to have access to yourself and your life.

It's worth is dependant on the intentions. But, social media has kind of put a dent in the good old "guy approaches girl" scenario. It's harder now because, like you said, expectations blew a hole in the ceiling. It's not that there's absolutely no girls out there with normal preferences and expectations. It's just turned into a "Where's Waldo" game.

I get around pretty much all those things. Despite this, I can still get good looking women. Matter fact just recently there was this cute Latina, who I knew from high school. She’s pretty cool actually.
