How should you pay on a date?

Honestly, I have no idea what the right way to pay for a date is. If a guy pays, it means the woman used him for a free meal. If a woman pays, somehow that’s bad as well. So, what is the right way?

The middle ground here isn’t hard to find. Men don’t generally care that the woman doesn’t immediately put out on the first date. The problem is that the women will flip-flop, and randomly become extraordinarily bitchy and standoffish after a date or two. That’s where the frustration comes from. Don’t be an actively unpleasant woman to interact with, and men aren’t going to be upset about paying for your meal.

Women have no idea how low the bar they have to meet is.

I’m sad to say it really is that difficult. I’m not MGTOW by any stretch; I love being around women, but even I have gotten to a point where I don’t bother trying to take women seriously because of how many of them are such difficult people to deal with.

Umm... hmm... I would say that in general, that's probably a good thing in most cases, yeah. I don't take women very seriously romantically, but I do treat them extremely well. I've been made to understand that what I do is really rare though. So I think most guys are probably just using the women, instead of cultivating a sense of trust and tenderness without the need for a formalized relationship. I would say that it's probably better for you to not have experience, than it would be for you to have bad experience.

Lol fair enough. I think that romantic/sexual relationships can certainly add a great deal to life, when the relationships are healthy and supportive, but I understand why so many people are checking out of them.

I try not to want to be someone. It’s hard, but I do try to suppress those feelings.

You dont need to pay if you are good company. You dont sound like you have princess complex or anything. Maybe just a make-out session.

It's about who pays. It's about understanding each other and seeing if you like each other. Talk about your values. What are your goals or whatever.

I can't speak for every guy. I'm traditional. I always pay the first date (unless she INSISTED). I've never felt used. The cost of the meal is literally the last thing I'm thinking about at that point.

I look at it like this. If I ask you out I will pay and if you ask me out then you should pay. I will always offer to pay but I will let you pay if you want to so as not to offend you.
