I have no clue... validation? I had a friend that was on a date with woman , he thought that things were going well, she was texting a bit. Turned out she was setting up her date for AFTER that date. I was like WOW. 1 date is stressful enough for me.

He might have been waiting for another opportunity to present itself. I had a woman do that to me. It's not a nice thing to do but some people do it I'm afraid. I worked with one guy that did that. He even slept with lady and she showed up to our work to see him and he told her you don't get it, there's nothing between us we just slept to get her. And I asked him did you tell her that this is just a one night stand beforehand and he said no, but it didn't matter. And I said how would you like it if that was done to you? And he said it has been done to him. As though that excused it. I think a lot of people use that excuse. They tell themselves this is just part of "the game".

I can't speak for you. Or any other guy but I've only had 1 instances in my life where I had interest in 2 women at the same time. And that because neither one had committed to me. Once one had the it's like a switch getting turned off. I'm not him so I can't say for certain what he feels. But if you're shown interest and he's not biting then I feel like he's just telling you what he thinks he should or needs to to keep you on the line. How can you "have feelings" for someone and still date another. That's nonsense to me. Now if he had said "I like you, but I still want to date another" that's something entirely different".
