I’ve heard stories where when someone doesn’t have experience in dating/relationships, they get attached real quick. I don’t have experience and I don’t want to be that kind of person.

Heartbreak allowed me to turn off my inability to control my feelings/emotions. So it allowed me to be able to sleep with a woman and then from there not let the sex; regardless of how good it was. To cloud my judgment

With who? that's why you should be more picky about who is going to be your first.

Thing is the dating world is harsh on women like myself. I rather just die single.

Certainly, dating is not as easy as when you were 20 and far more in demand. However, dating is also harsh for young men that are not in the top one-third. 51% of men but only 32% of women, age 18-29 are single. www.pewresearch.org/.../ That almost 5 single young men for every 3 single young females.

After age 30, the statistics are not so harsh for men.. Regardless, even if you don't date, you have other option for a fulfilling life. You can be the favorite aunt for your nephews and nieces. You can teach, be a Girl Scout leader, or a big sister. And, you assist at any number of organizations that help children.

Actually, I never had it easy either when I was in my teens or 20s. I assumed no one really liked me. But, you’re right about the last part. Though I prefer to travel.

With almost 5 single guys for every 3 single girls, a girl, age 18 - 29, (especially 18 - 22) with your looks (good but not exceptional) should have had it easy getting dates. Likely with so many guys chasing you, you were overly quick to reject guys (demanding only the top guys) since so many others were available to take their place. That implies, that untimely the numbers that should have been in your favor, worked against you.

Women want to date up. However, men date down for sex; they just don't marry down. Based on that and the numerous posts from young women on GAG, I believe a common problem is that young women, that naturally want the best they can get, date only the hottest guys that will have sex with them and reject less desirable guys that would marry them.
