Should I keep trying?

I used to somewhat know a guy (C) about 12 years ago. I have been single so I downloaded a dating app. I seen C and we talked online and exchanged numbers

He let me know that he was interested in me back then but due to both our circumstances he never approached me that way. He began to talk sexually. Usually I would cutting off the communication because I'm only sexually interested when there is an emotional connection. I guess I just got tired of not being sexual so i kinda agreed on a sexual encounter with him twice but failed due to feeling low about the arranged hookup. He stopped contacting me and I couldn't find our conversations on the app. I was hurt. I called straight to voice mail. So one day I got on the app live and he popped up. I asked wht was up woth h8s phone he said he put it on dnd. We talked again but the conversations stopped

I texted but my messages was delivered and not read. I called one day I was excited it finally rang then got nervous and hung up. He called back twice I didn't hear my phone but when I looked at my messages he texted" who is this" then 2 minutes late "don't call my phone anymore" I just replied "k" I looked at the messages and seen they were finally read. It's been two days and I really want to ask why but my prise won't allow me too.
