I asked one of my guy friends if he was happy with his ex (who he plans on going back to soon from what he told me) and he told me, “it’s better” and shrugged his shoulders and made this “meh” facial expression

Hey, it's a coincidence but I think someone had a similar experience and yes we both agreed well I agreed to her points. The guy is disinterested in ex except for the kids. In my Scenario the guy's ex had kids who the guy loved. So he was staying for them but not happy.

He had a lover well current lover whom I think really should kick the ex girlfriends ass. She is being manipulative and the guy needs to be saved. But I was kind of upset the girl slept with another guy (probably to one up the guy).
I have a feeling this girl likes him so much. You know true love requires patience and not trying to be a competition.

Ah I admit this girl said her friend didn't want to be a second option but I don't think it's true. I mean I did rather be a second option provided I saw a glimmer of hope that the girl will be around.
So, she should pursue him with full force. Forget about forgetting him and move on. Fight for your love ))
