My number one is intellect, I am very attracted to intelligent men, and my number two is sense of humor! obviously, we are all attracted initially by looks, but and intelligent man with a sense of humor will easily win my heart over a "pretty-boy" type, with nothing between his ears.

If you mean how did I discover that he was intelligent, well as I wrote, obviously we are first attracted to a persons looks, however he was not classically good looking. But i do place looks below the other two. In the case of my ex-boyfriend, when he asked me out he made me laugh first. He didn't tell me a joke, he didn't even appear to try to make me laugh, he was just an incredibly funny person. he was not at all my usual type. he was not muscular, in fact he was quite skinny. But his self confidence, and his incredible sense of humor made me say yes to the date, and It was the best date I had ever been on. Lee was a BRILLIANT man. Probably the most intelligent guy i have ever met, (and my father invented the software that makes CGI look more realistic) Lee was every bit as intelligent as my father, but Lee was unbelievably funny. I have NEVER laughed as much as I did during the two years we were together. He made me laugh every single day that we were together! So it was his self confidence and sense of humor that caused me to say yes to the date, even though, as I already said, he was not nearly as classically "good looking" as the guys i had dated before him. On the first date, our conversation fascinated me. He knew SO MUCH about almost everything! I was truly blown away by him. i wouldn't say that I was in love with him at the end of that first date, but i did think to myself "this is the kind of man I could see myself marrying!". I gave a guy that i would not have ordinarily dated, a chance, and am SO glad I did. I still love him very much, and if we had not ended up at colleges 3000 miles apart, we would absolutely still be together. I miss him a lot.
