Am I wrong for feeling upset?

My boyfriend got a girl for secret Santa and she had put that she liked the fragrance champagne toast. So I said a simple candle from bath and body works would be enough but he wanted to get others items. He’s not friends with her or anything and it made me feel like he’s putting too much thought into it. I even cried and I felt dumb for feeling like that. I told my boyfriend how it made me feel but he said that “I spend a lot of money on you and you just can’t stand me buying another person something”

i usually spend more money on others then they spend on me , we do a secret Santa in my family and there is a $20 limit , i usually spend $30 to $40, i do it because i enjoy the reactions people make when the see what they got
