My friend really liked a guy for a long time. They finally got closer and kissed few times. Then they went on a first date and she was disappointed. She said she expected something else and they struggled in conversation a bit. She also said that the guy was really nervous.

Nope I would suggest your friend goes on another date. It’s possible she liked him and built up in her mind false expectations of who he would be. Give him another chance and see if he’s less nervous.
