“Excuse”? Hahahaha! What am i missing? I know it’s an unpopular fact, homie, but men aren’t women. We don’t need to gain weight to support a developing fetus and feed an endlessly hungry infant. Even if we give up some of our work life to be home for the kids more, that’s no excuse. There is NO excuse for shortchanging your life and livelihood ESPECIALLY if you have children that depend on you! My man, Tim Kennedy, suggests that it’s your responsibility to be the hardest man in the room to kill. I’m inclined to agree.
That said, as we age our physiology changes. With rare exception, it’s easier for everyone to gain weight and harder to lose it. By the time men and women are prioritizing making and raising babies, most of them are into this inevitable phase of life. Children are high energy monsters. Even a halfass attempt to keep up with one will keep most reasonably healthy adults fit. Instead, we choose to sit on the couch and scream at them, or hire nannies and coaches to raise our kids for us. Maybe we’re coping with our insecurities about parenthood with alcohol and drugs, or comfort foods. All the while building up “dad bod”, or “mom bod”, and getting closer to abandoning the people who need us most.
Depends on what kind of lifestyle you want to live. Personally I don't like it and work to keep it off but if you're okay with looking that way that's fine too. Just as long as we don't go the female route and start demanding everyone find it attractive
It's not a dad bod, it's a beer bod. Or as my dad puts it a fuel tank for a sex machine.
I get older guys letting things slip, you expect it in 50 year old. But I see plenty guys in their teens and doubt they'll reach 50.
With or without kids, men with dad bods seem to be the only ones who can make balloon animals. We need them.

There are many reasons a man could have a dad bod if he doesn't have kids. You say dads have kids, they work hard and the bod shows up. That doesn't mean all childfree men don't work hard. What about the childfree men who are in college and work 2 jobs just to keep themselves afloat and don't have the time to exercise and the bod shows up? What about the childfree men who work a full time job and care for a sick relative and the bod shows up? Just because a man has a dad bod doesn't mean he shouldn't have kids as long as he has the means to raise them
As long as he's healthy it's all good. Because the kids need thier daddy alive to keep being thier daddy. We all gonna put on a couple of lbs. As we age. That's just getting older. As far as his spouse if he doesn't know who he married after that long it's his own fault. Both husband and wife should excuse a couple lbs. As long as they're maintaining thier health. If she's (or he for that matter) is going through so midlife crisis that's thier own problem. If I was the guy I'd turn into Will Smith from pursuit of happiness, "Go on, go git happy"! Either she's in it with me or she's not.
Not sure that we need to exclude women here. There are plenty of lesbians who are overweight and treat you like a child. They can spank you, peg you, and force you to behave yourself as well as any man.
That's a funny question but everyone's not into fitness and some women like Dad Bods
Dad bods are hot but my husband doesn't really have one since he works out too much
Dad bods or sugar Dods it’s all up to mommy either because chromosomes or because she knows who the daddy is.
Same excuse as married men, kids doesn't make you fat. It is usually ageing and not adjusting habits when the body start burning less then it used too. And both are busy working. So neither need a dad bod. They choose to let it grow.
Yes the only excuse for having a dad body I being a dad. Heck even then it's not healthy but whatever.
No matter how many women will say they like dad bods, men you need to ignore that shit and get your ass in the gym and get in shape. And dont use kids as an excuse to be lazy and not workout
I’ve been a dad for over 20 years, and I never had a body like that, always been in good shape.
Wow you really have some trolls on here that dislike your posts and take it out on all of us responding
Hell yeah! That dad bod will fix your roof, pipes, structural damage and hopefully have time to teach his son and/or daughter such trades.
@Orion76 Are you able to pick up a pipe?
@Orion76 A few mins ago you was talking about laying some. I'm talking about actual work.
@Orion76 I imagine you've been fired more times than it took to get your message correct :)
Lol well that is from lack of sex after 2 to 5 kids and a bitching wife
I thought it was about cholesterol levels... rather than offspring...
No, because not everyone has the capacity to raise babies and kids.
My partner likes my belly as a cushion and falls asleep on it on the sofa every evening - she's into yoga and has a great body, esp. for her age (also 6 years older than me) - but doesn't mind I've let myself go, lol
Um I'm a kid and I have a dad bod. I don't know how to answer this bro. Yea ik it's bad but until April I can't so shit.
If you got no kids then get your ass in the gym son.
No gyms in my area. Only home workouts
Lots of people simply like to use a label because they like to have themselves sound appealing. Personally it’s turn off when a guy says he has a dad bod but has no kids.
No, but they can definitely be Daddys.
Guys with dad bods just tend to be more chill dudes to talk to in my experience
None of my friends are gym bros
why should you have kids because of your body type?
beer, lots of beer...
Yes, I would think so.
They're just going to get fatter!!!
Eww...
Ha no
