I know we all wear masks that covers who we really are, but when we have the mask on, we feel what it feels during human interactions that we either don't feel in the inside or might feel later like love. It's really complicated to understand for me. What y'alls opinion?

I don’t believe our dark side is our true self. I think it’s simply one side of us. No one is truly good or truly bad, we’re all a mix of both sides. I definitely wouldn’t refer to my dark side as my true self. It’s a version of myself that I’d prefer no one to see.
But sometimes your put in a situation where you might have to show it and sometimes, depending on the people you're with, might not except you in their life. Our darkness may be half of who we are as individuals, but which one of our sides, light and dark, are our true feelings and desires in life?
Id say its half of who we are, because everyone has a dark side.
But sometimes our dark side is more of who we are as individuals than light side. Like with Dexter Morgan from the tv show "Dexter". His "dark passenger " is expressed throughout the show and he embraces it because he knows that's who he really is.
That's very true, but most of the time, the good side wins.
