Do some guys prefer average looking girls to lower the risk of cheating?

I know 3 doctors who married average looking and average income woman because they do not want a girl who will cheat on him. I also know a 120 pound doctor who is married to a morbidly obese woman and he is not ashamed of her, she works as his secretary at the medical clinic and he posts outdated photos of his kids as children at his office where they look like 6-10 year olds when they are in their 30s because he wants to scare off suitors who try to steal him from his wife. He is Chinese and Chinese people believe divorce is a sin, even if your partner weighs 800 pounds and eats cake for breakfast.

It's been well-studied and well-documented that men who do cheat, overwhelmingly majority of the time will cheat with women who are less attractive than their primary partner/girlfriend/wife. There are many factors that can lead to this: 1. Madonna/whore complex, 2. if a woman is too beautiful, she is intimidating as hell. That can lead to performance anxiety. It's difficult to please what in his mind is well a goddess and he may prefer a less ostentatiously attractive person to feel comfortable with and not insecure.

It don’t matter if she is average or hot tge chance of her cheating on you is still the same, most would rather have a hot girl they are attracted to.

But yeah I can see the men who are making six figures or more might go with average looking because the girl knows she don’t have much of a chance finding another man making that much if she is average looking

You ask this like all men are the same. The answer to your question will be as varied as men.

Personally I take a while vetting a woman so schemers and cheaters don't get through. A woman's attractiveness doesn't determine whether she's a cheater or not.

That's true society have some expectations from men. He needs to be stronger, reliable, bread earner and all the jargens. To feel that you are in control we (some mens) tend to settle for lesser attractive them himself coz you know they will not cheat and even this is the reason why we don't prefer someone who earns more then himself coz then we feel insecure. All you can say is with good heart and honesty that It's okay and accept us the way they are
