Why do people expect me to say something to them first?

Because I'm no longer and have stopped going out my way for or to people.

Some context: I've always went out my way for others. But considering the fact that I see no one else meeting me half way I fall back.

Please explain: why do people hang around and are silent.. I'm not gonna say anything LOL

I move on. 5 years later they hang around me. We are getting kicked out to go back in. Why is this person hanging around and not go in until I'm literally 1 inch from them it's weird. No I'm not afraid of them never will be. So what's going on

Depending on what happened with you two maybe it’s some guilt on his behalf but not having the courage to initiate a conversation. At least that’s what I think about people who just linger around, they’ve got something on their mind or maybe some feelings that aren’t being addressed. In any case, I would just keep doing what you’re doing and ignore him. He will get the message eventually.

I mean if that's the case too they could of hit me up on social media to talk and they had my number. Super weird

That’s what I mean about having the courage, like even reaching out on social media or texting requires having an adequate amount. Of course these are assumptions and no one but him could give the most valid explanation. I understand not wanting to talk to him though, so I guess it’s better to just let the situation pass.
