If your senses are such that you think that is your Ex, perhaps, you should cease and desist conversations. Are there specific questions that you can ask that would give him away if it is your Ex. Whatever your Ex's reason may be it is not good practice to secretly "stalk" his Ex. I would probably terminate al communications.
