Should I move on or just take it slow?

i met this girl about 2 weeks ago we went on our first date recently I really like her but she told me we should start out slow because she still has feelings for this other guy. Her and this guy “talked” for about 7 months he was her first everything according to her she “loved him with all her heart” and she still has feelings for him but their relationship was rocky they were both bad at communication and some other stuff but nothing major. he even took her virginity. Should I move on? Or just take it slow maybe over time she’ll forget him?

Focus more on having a strong friendship with her for now. So she can figure out what she wants. Afterwords if choose you then you are more apt to from a relationship.
