It’s really f up to break up with someone that way, but most likely the person who is doing the breaking up is already in bed with another person, so theg really don’t give a f about you anymore.

In 90% of cases yes.

However, in the case the person you fear that this person might get violent, a message is better than risking getting assaulted or killed. I learned this after an ex smashed a plate over my head.

It depends on the reason. If you're getting out of a toxic and/or potentially abusive situation, do it by text then block their number. If it's a healthier situation and you just don't want to face them, it's still a valid option but it's not the kindest way to do it

Well, it's all relative. I understand that perhaps they're not invested in the relationship anymore enough to see them in person, are on some sort of time constraint or trying to avoid the other person making a scene. Some people get very emotional when dealing with that type of thing.
