I said no but it depends on what you mean by emotional. If he is upset about a loss, that's fine. Understandable. I think there are people who get attached to teams. If he crystal about a team, I wouldn't think badly about him. Personally I wouldn't think it's that serious. However, if he is breaking TVs or punching the air or walls, it's a red flag for me.
