Why would a guy start texting less, but then set-up a first date?

This is the SECOND time where a guy would start texting me throughout the day. Then a few days later, he would start texting me less and less. Next, he surprisingly set-ups a date, and follows through fine.

Why do some guys do this odd behavior? This is the second this is happening to me.

He either didn't want to annoy you or he was looking into something else first. doesn't have to specifically mean he was comparing options. Or he's just been busy you can't know without asking

Yep I can. He set up a date so doesn’t have to keep the same frequency in texting. Why would you want to text often before a date?

Thank you. I think I see your point. I guess he was texting meoften in the beggining to see if I was date worthy. Then he cut down on the fequency, but held on to me by setting up a date.

Yep it’s more out of excitement. Now he’s looking forward to the date. So don’t try to judge how much he’s into you by texting frequency. what matters most is the date irl right? Texting is just sharing info
