Is it normal for a man not to text often in the beginning stages of dating? So far, he only texts to plan dates?

I matched with this man on Hinge and he pursued me. He asked for my number and to FaceTime. We FaceTimed briefly and then he said he was glad I wasn’t a catfish lol. So he asked me out on a date. We went on a date, and he asked me a lot of questions about myself and seemed really interested. I asked him questions about himself because I didn’t just want to talk about me. He kissed me too after the date. After the date, he texted me asking to go out on another date. I wasn’t available until 2 weeks later. He texted me “happy thanksgiving”, and I responded “thank you, you too”. Then 2 days later I texted him “how was your Thanksgiving?” And he responded. And then asked me out on another date. So he planned another date (which is this weekend)

My question is

Is it normal for men not to text much in the beginning stages of dating? He doesn’t text me often. I’m kinda new to dating again.

I can't stand all this having to text every day nonsense. Especially with someone who I've only had one date with.

Is it normal... hmm... it happens. I'd say 70% of the time people seem to want you glued to their beck and call on your phone 24/7 though.

But luckily, people are different. Hopefully this guy is decent and mature and all about getting to know people in person instead of via text.

Realistically though, please consider if you have time to date. 2 weeks between dates is a long time. It's OK once in a while to gave big gaps but, consider if you actually have time to regularly date moving forwards.

People dated before we had mobile phones. In the early stages they communicated by phone or in person to plan the next date. They didn't call every day. If things got "serious", then they might call most evenings.

When I was dating online, I learned that before meeting any communication was a waste of time. You can talk for weeks, then meet and >poof< no attraction.

If a woman wasn't willing to meet, then she wasn't ready to date.
