Guys have it hard in the dating world too?

I've been going out on 7 dates and we're getting along ok. We're not boyfriend and girlfriend yet.

Our first meeting was at a park and he was impressed I got there 10 minutes earlier. He said ''You're on time, haven't seen that in the longest''. Another thing that he liked was just this Saturday when informing him an hour ahead about an unexpected traffic jam and how I'm running late and apologized for the delay.

He explained about the times a couple girls never arrived, don't even say if they're running late or just ghost you without any explanation, how it's hard for them. How hard is it to be punctual, say when you're running say or say you're not interested instead of ghosting? I think those are basic manners. Really the dating world is hard for guys?

I think so. The reality is people in general (both genders) are complicated and not very on top of things. For so many people they view it as a game. Or don’t care to put the effort in.


I haven’t met anyone who genuinely believes that dating and relationships are easy. They aren’t easy, for anyone. It requires a lot of hard work, patience, and effort. And even the best of relationships have struggles.



I don’t think this is a gender specific question tho. It’s more a reflection of the people involved.

I was shocked at the things he told me about those girls lacking basic manners; which is usually taught early on. That's something that starts at home.

This was sarcasm because this is typically what guys go through. This isn’t woe is me, I’m just a bit surprised you haven’t heard of this behavior before.

I know it does happens but in my family that would be very rude. Neither of my 2 close friends act like those girls either.

I understand. As guy who is actively dating it’s sometimes difficult to come across women like yourself and your friends. I’ve come to the query that most women find most men disposable (at least in the western world) and it shows up as behaviors and actions your park date was describing.
