Overall in the dating and relationship world, do guys have it just as hard as girls?

We have to worry about getting used for sex or getting string along, someone wasting our time, etc.
I'm now trying to place myself on a man's shoes. I'm guessing it must be hard always being brave enough to ask her out and getting a successful answer if lucky. Assuming the guy wants a long-term commitment, the steps includes asking her out on a date, then asking her to be your girlfriend, asking her to move in with you or proposing to her.

Unfortunately she can reject you on any of those steps, whether it was just for a date or for a major advancement. So overall do guys have it just as hard as girl?

Once she says no on any of the steps, that's it. He has to start the whole process over with another girl and so on. Ok this must suck too.

It isn't that tough. I simply ask, "Would you like to go to lunch (never dinner)?"

The answer is yes, no, or an excuse, which I treat as a no and move on. That is all there is to it.

As far as proposing, I'm the idiot who proposed to the same girl twice and got turned down both times. I admit, that was tough, but when I threw her ass out of my house, that was easy!

Women don't have it hard in the dating world, whatsoever. They're just incredibly picky and entitled and only accept 10 out of 10 men nowadays, instead of a normal decent guy who would treat her well. In fact, men like that are a complete turn-off to most women, nowadays. Men like that are taken for granted and inaccurately labeled as "Nice Guys."

It depends.
1. Hot guy (alpha)- he has it better than any group you can think of. Better than hot girls, pretty girls, etc. it doesn’t matter. He will get spoiled and have girls throw theirselves at him. He has unlimited dating options and multiple soul mates.
2. Average guy- he will have about two soul mates. Will get taken advantage of. The hot guy can take his girlfriend and he will be constantly threatened.
3. Ugly guy- they have it really bad. No girl will date him and to make things worse, every girl he encounters will be mean to him because girls treat ugly guys really bad. He won’t have any soul mates and has to either get rich, offer stability or be really funny in order to land one girl that won’t even want him but he using him based on what he can provide.


As a man, we are loved based on what we can provide unless you are a hot guy. As a woman, you are loved unconditionally and it doesn’t matter what you look like because the most men find the average woman to be beautiful. Most women find the average man to be ugly.

Well I think girls don't want to get hurt so that makes sense. Girls don't have as hard a time in dating but they have a hard time in finding the "right guy" which goes beyond dating.

I can't speak for all guys I just speak for myself. I have a hard time finding a girlfriend. I try bumble and stuff but most girls just don't want me. The few girls who do respond are older, immigrant, type women that I'm not interested in.

I don't think I have it extra hard but I do think I have it hard.

First he needs to worry if he'll come across as a sexual predator, or some waste of a time. Then he needs to work up the courage past the previous requirements and hope for a favorable first impression.
From your example she just needs to hope he's not a creep and act presentable.

Anyone who's looking for a long term committed relationship has go through that struggle.
It can be in different ways for different genders with so many different situations.
Either you are not sure about it or just sturggling to ask someone out or maybe feeling disconnected at some later stages of the relationship.
