Is it possible for a female friend to stop talking to you or leave you on read just because you don’t want to date her friend?

My friend has been crushing on me for a while now and when I start it talking to my home girl again he showed interest in my life but because we didn’t talk about if there could be a chance for the two of us to date or whatever and my home girl was trying to get us to go out but I’m guessing she seen that i didn’t want to so now when ever I text her she leaves me on read i texted her today wishing her a happy birthday she open the message and I thought she was going to reply back but she left me on read unless she got busy with her family and stuff but something is telling me it has to do with our male friend and now I’m not sure if I should start looking for him.
Is it possible for a female friend to stop talking to you or leave you on read just because you don’t want to date her friend?
