If you don’t want to be her friend you’re free to go, nobody is forcing you. She’s not placed you in the friendzone, she’s simple not interested in you romantically or sexually but likes you as a friend. If the dude is sticking around in the hopes she’ll change her mind as opposed to just being cool with just being friends then that’s on him.

But if this is about you thinking she’ll suddenly become interested and confess her love for you if you move on and date others, no. I had male friends try to make me jealous before and I gave zero fucks because guess what, I’m not interested. They were stunned when I was happy for them when they told me they met someone or were going to date someone else (and sometimes it turned out that was all lies which I’m just embarrassed for them that they got caught making something like that up but whatever). My male friends dating makes me as upset and jealous as when my female friends date - aka not at all upset or jealous and it’s certainly not making me gain feelings for the guy friend.
