to me they are because they're capable of higher intimacy, have better coping skills and more empathy and tolerance in general.

bonus if they have unusual pets like snakes.

Sometimes. Just because someone has a pet doesn’t mean that they’re a good pet owner. I used to have a friend who had dogs, 2 very depressed and overweight labradors and she then got a border collie. This friend lived in an apartment with no backyard… a year after getting the border collie, it started showing signs of depression, severe anxiety, and over time became more and more aggressive. She was taking it for a half hour walk ONCE A WEEK. I felt so sad for this dog. What she was doing to it was abuse, why the hell would you get a breed that needs high exercise and a place to run around, if you yourself don’t exercise, live in a cramped space, and are already neglecting two other dogs?


The way someone treats their pets tells you a lot about them. But it doesn’t always make them attractive.

Just because someone has a pet doesn't mean they treat their pet well. I will use a dog as an example. Someone who is a very inactive type person would do a disservice to a Greyhound or a German Shepherd. A don living in a small one room apartment or a tiny home wouldn't be good to have a Great Dane. I don't care if a person has a dog, cat, bird, fish, chinchilla, rabbit etc if they don't take at least good care of it.

They can be, yes, for all the reasons you name. HOWEVER... there are also those with pets for whom the pets become an obsession and a very unattractive one at that. But, in general, the answer to your question is yes.

I would like to think that humans with pets who are well behaved, healthy and loved, are better people for the experience. They show responsibility, concurrent with their need for companionship.

I think it depends more on how they treat the pet. Cause I've seen cases where people are sadistically to pets.
If they're good with the pet and you see the animal clearly loves them, that's an extremely green flag.

I think so, cuz it demonstrates that they have empathy and caring and responsibility. Pets are like small children.

Actually there is some logic in this. If a person have adopted a pet then they are most likely kind hearted, have high tolerance, are fit (if the pet is a dog or such who will make you run), caring, admirer of living things and have better parental quality. It all comes with adopting a pet because you need to take care of it just like a child. So for someone who is also a pet lover would find such person attractive till the core because they know the person is good from inside if their pets are happy with him/her. So these peopl are usually more attractive than normal people.
