I hated mine, because my date acted terribly to me
I have no such experience for prom or homecoming because I never had the chance to at all due to Covid was coming out and I have a narcissistic mother thinking to want to have my sister as my date to problem instead of me asking a normal girl to prom🤨 she’s controlling but I would loved to if I had seen a decent girl and asked her to prom in a sweet confident way and manner if I could’ve but this was also homeschool so.
Anyway, I'm sorry to hear that your prom experience was not a positive one due to your date's behavior. It's important to remember that you deserve to be treated with respect and kindness, and it's okay to prioritize your own well-being and happiness in any situation. Don't be afraid to set boundaries and communicate your needs, and don't settle for anything less than the kind of treatment you truly deserve.

I remember my prom very well, even thought it was years ago. My date's sister was getting married the next day, so I had to have her home at a reasonable hour... well, it was 2am. We had a great time dancing at the prom, and at the after-party.
I had a date to a prom but it was more for formality than romance, we had no romantic relation to each other, it was just a male and female gathering for photography purposes. I’m not even sure we sat at the same table during the prom meal. I remember I was upset they made us wait so long for our food and I don’t remember what I ate so I’m assuming it wasn’t anything special.
I do remember it. One of the few good memories I have from high school.
