I like the thought of my girl depending/relying on me.

I like the thought of working hard for my family so they can live happy + easy. Makes me feel useful and fulfilled. Shows she really trusts me to take care of her.
God will be happy with me too.

If a girl can’t trust me I think she’s had too many traumatic experiences which makes women more masculine in nature.

No, not really. I would 100% trust my partner, but it does not necessarily mean that I should not have a career of my own. Would you rather your partner cheat on you whilst being a housewife? Or stay faithful while having a career? Trust and independence are two very different things. In this economy, both the partners need to work for living a comfortable life. (I use comfortable very loosely).

I’m not implying that I don’t need a man. I definitely do. However, I don’t need a man who is so insecure about himself that he needs to stop me from working.
