Usually I feel like with questions like this it depends on why you dating exclusively your own race or exclusively outside of your race. If you the type of person who doesn't mind others but just don't see yourself dating certain people than no attraction isn't the same as discrimination it kinda like you have men and women who prefer to date the opposite gender while other men are women who prefer to date the same gender, agian attraction isn't the same as discrimination.

Now if you dating a specific group because you find a different group more 'superior or you just hate on the other group to the point you can't find yourself dating or possibly marrying them!' Than yes that ain't good I heard this thing of internalized racism or sexism it when a member of the same gender and same race who just absolutely hate their own people in everything so yes I wouldn't recommend doing the internalized racism there buddy but hey you are on the right track if you find out the problem sooner and planning to fix it.

Also one more thing I ain't saying you are dating outside of your own race for this reason but usually whenever I hear questions of dating "race of any kind" it mostly has to do with some nasty fetishization, so make sure it doesn't risk turning into a fetish or else you might offend the man or woman you are with.

Depends on your reason. If you hate your own race, then yes that is a bigoted reason to date outside of your race. If you simply have more preference for people outside your race simply because you're just more attracted to people from other races, then there is nothing wrong with that.

In the end, you have to find someone you can click with properly. And if that's with someone outside of your race, then so be it. I know plenty of people who date outside their race and are still happily together for years or even started their own families.

I've asked myself the same question countless times. I'm black and I'm into white men. I used to feel bad about it. But, I decided to accept myself...

Now, I would say it depends on your reasons to do it. For instance, if you have a fetish then it's bad. But if you only find yourself attracted to people outside your race and you still respect people regardless of their race, then there's nothing wrong with that.

Just be happy with whoever you love. Make sure you're with the person for the right reasons.

Also, it's your life. You have the right of living it the way you want to.

For me I only date inside my race. For some reason I'm only attracted to white men, specifically blonde blue eyed or red haired men. I don't know why, since I have dark hair and brown eyes. But I guess it's rooted with me always being insecure about my looks as a kid. I had a blonde blue eyed sister who got all the attention from guys, and even guys I liked liked her. So I think I subconsciously am attracted to light men, also because I want my daughters to be light and beautiful like I never were.

Only if you're doing it intentionally. Then you need to ask yourself, "why". I'm white and I date more black women then white. But I also have had more positive experiences with black women then white. I don't date them simply because thier black.

I view romantic interactions as getting a special exemption from racism and (obviously) sexism. People are attracted to who they are attracted to - any attempt to somehow equalize things seems ridiculous. ("OK, I've dated 2 white women, a black woman, now do I need to date an Asian woman before I can date another white woman?)

I think it's not a good mindset to exclude people as potential dating partners based on their race. This puts too much focus on race.

Having said that, about 10% of people get attracted mainly by people who look rather different from themselves. I'm among those, too.

However, by the U. S. definitions I'm currently dating within my race. My girlfriend is from Iran and I'm Central European, so we are both white.

no. actually i think this is the best you can do for humanity. because the whole purpose of "procreation" is not: foster "racial" purity. the purpose of procreation is increasing biodiversity in the genepool in order to make humanity as a whole more adaptable and survivable. how do you do that more efficiently than procreating othside of your "race"?
