Is it wrong that I don’t want to date someone because of their race?

Being racist implies you are actively discriminating against someone of another race, i.e., I don't date (fill in the blank race) because they're all lazy useless people. There is a vast difference between that form of thinking and acting and simply saying, I'm not attracted to you. Attraction CANNOT be forced. You like what you like. Plenty of people only date their own race. Even if you were racist---why would anyone of another race want to date you IF you were an actual racist towards them???

Dating within your race is preferable to pretending that you are attracted to a different race when you actually are not. It would be quite horrible to get into a relationship with someone of a different race, have them fall in love with you, and then they discover that you aren't really attracted to them.

It’s perfectly fine, everyone has its own tastes and preferences. There’s nothing bad in choosing a bit over dates and potential partners, there needs to be a perfect compatibility, even in sentiments and life expectations.
I’ll provide an example, from my life. I don’t define myself racist but I have a very sensitive nose and certain races odour annoys me a lot. This doesn’t mean every person of those races is smelly to me but this happens for the most of them. I’m sorry for that, since I appreciate visually some of those people but my nose doesn’t allow me to appreciate them more than that.
This is normal, since everyone of us has its own perception of the world, its own image of him/herself in the world and its way to choose the people who want to surround with.

People are entitled to have preferences when it comes to romantic attraction and mates.
And it's understandable to want to carry on your racial genetics.

I don't mind dating outside my race but idea of having kids that look nothing like me is kindof unsettling.
I would like to match my kid's pictures with mine as a child and say "oh look: apple. Tree"

Then again certain races mix well together and that would actually create beautiful children so it's food for thought
