It's not that hard getting a job. It's good to balance the load, he should help out. If he do move in later you should come to an agreement beforehand about pooling some money for food and expenses so It's equal and easy to resolve things on good terms If the time comes. When it comes to economy, practicality wins all battles.

Yeah. I know the lifestyle, I've lived it. Nothing to be proud of and a constant nagging from family, it ain't pretty and only leads to worse things.
The sooner he leaves the nest the better. Comfort is not something to be chased, it's to get used to so he can start becoming competent and be someone to be proud of. Huge mistake to leech family.

Yeah I don't think it's all that common that they look for victims puposefully though.
