Just a term of endearment. Is he older? I mean it could be in reference to you being younger. I know a lady here at work who is 20 years older than me that calls me “sweetie.” Doesn’t mean she likes it. Just certain words we grew up w that we used that may have meant something different long time ago. When I was a kid we used to say things were “gay” to mean something that was dumb. Like let’s do our homework. No that’s gay. Things have changed.
