+1 yWhats cringy is how people to this day still don't know about weather history or studies which examine the ratio between natural and man-made causes of global warming or even take notice of how many "predictions" have turned up wrong about how it's going to get hot one moment and cold another.
You notice that the name of it has changed a bunch of times, now it's called climate change because people were starting to question the validity of calling it global warming. Then we differentiate man-made climate change with a tiny asterisk to make the studies.
Studies which by the way were pretty much all funded by companies like philips who lobbied until they made incandescent bulbs illegal at a time they had already invested in a new technology which allowed them to effectively have a monopoly on home lighting for the next 3 years.
And just as a final note, I'm not against taking care of the planet. I'm not a tree hugger, but I am very disappointed that people think oil pipelines are a step backwards in terms of taking care of the environment. Pipelines save oceans which really do account for roughly 60% of all oxygen production in our atmosphere.
How anyone thinks it's better to have thousands of floating cities filled with oil travel across the most important ecosystem on the planet than to have a pipe where the oil can be pumped using any number of power sources baffles me.

we are responsible for this earth but you should know that there is a difference between pollution and earth getting hurt.
Pollution causes diseases such as lung cancer etc.. and depression but it would never change earth’s ecosystem.
They used to say that the hole in ozone layer is caused because of pollution then they discovered that the hole closes and opens sometimes because that how it works.
Its funny how phobic people are becoming to the extent that Australia is trying to get rid if cows because their farts are causing pollution 😂😂

+1 yYeah I could, I joke all the time about shit that I probably shouldn't be joking about. A whole different story is when they actually think that global warming isn't real and all that shit you mentioned, it's means they are quite stupid and narrow-minded and that's a no-no for me. I don't do stupid people, literally and figuratively

+1 yyes, but that's an example that might cause a rift in the relationship. the goal in relationship is honor/protect the others emotions. If they are very disconnected, I'd be non interested.
that said, the other person sitting there wasting fuel, throwing out plastic as if it's actually recycled, disposing a once used paper bag or cup... is equal ignorance and poor training.
We all need to think, for we've been brain washed in our environment. If you don't like what they say, go back to live like your grandparents... and show us how it's done.
10 Reply No such thing as “too much water” or even “too little water”. Earth has had the same amount of water for millions of years.
Policies to fight global warming have been catastrophic. The very first one was corn subsidies to US farmers. Know about that nasty corn syrup? We’re all a bunch of fat asses because it became cheap for farmers to grow corn.
The only way the US turns to electric cars is if China does all of the work for us. They’re the ones that have control over all of the rare earth metals that go into electric cars. Except China is going to pollute the world to death far before climate change gets us.
California, whose policies allegedly are primarily green, is now the greatest polluting state in the country. Why? Because of all the fires. Why do they have all the fires? Because they refuse to engage in vegetation management.
None of the above is a joke. It’s very real. Climate change policies are a giant hoax. Make no mistake.00 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. the extinction rebellion as been trying to scare the world population into worrying about a global catastrophe that has barely showed any results
"global warming" isn't gonna happen overnight
anyone who knows their history (or rather prehistory) of the world understands that climate change has always existed and that "global warming" is not the end of the world. Earth has made 5 major mass extinctions throughout its 4.6 billion year lifespan and life has found ways to recover, some as quickly as 1 year
14 Reply567 opinions shared on Dating topic. Yes, I could.
Consider this;
The climate is in a state of constant flux,
We only started making a detailed record of Climate/Weather around 1880,
At which time we were coming out of what has been described as 'The Little Ice Age' (1300 to around 1850) actual temperature of the Earth before this time was at 'Best Guess' was approx 2deg C warmer than now.
Is it any wonder that the overall temperature of the planet is rising, coming as it does out of that prolonged cold period which it has been speculated to have been caused by large volcanic eruptions.
Climate is changing and will continue to change and to think that the human species will effect it to any great extent is the hight of arrogance.10 Reply2.9K opinions shared on Dating topic. The earth has had 5 ice ages and none of the global warming after those 5 ice ages was caused by humans. We didn't even exist for the first 4 and the last one was ended 20,000 years ago like all the ones before, by the change in the Earth's orientation with the sun. That doesn't mean we aren't contributing to global warming, but this has all happened many times before we even existed. The earth has been warmer than it is now many times before, last time was 115,000 to 130,000 years ago. Even if all the humans and cows died and all pollution ceased, the earth would still continue to warm and cool by itself because our distance and orientation to the sun changes over long periods of time that we can't comprehend because our lives are very short in relation. To say that we know and understand global warming is ridiculous because we don't know shit. The climate changes whether we like it or not. We do need to stop pollution, though.
00 Reply4.9K opinions shared on Dating topic. Of course, what is not to joke about a movement spearheaded by a political science major turned politician, that claims he invented the internet, on a subject as complex as global ecology? Does he even know what a troposphere is; let alone how they differ from aquatic to terrestrial ecosystems? The whole movement is a joke. It is a religion mascarading as a social issue for people who don't like religion. It is not surprising that all of their predictions have been wrong. Science isn't a consensus it is a process to learn knew things by questioning the old things.

+1 yIts fine to question anything as long as the questions are based on real data, and thinking. If someone claims global warming is fake because its cold outside, I'm not interested in talking to them. But if they claim its fake based on the isotope mix of the carbon in the atmosphere, then we have the basis of an interesting discussion.

+1 yIt does not matter honestly. One person's opinion is not going to sway the world, right? I just accept people for what they are.
This advice was given by Farah Khan in a TV show. "Do not reject anyone and see the magic happen for good."

+1 yI believe in global warming but I don’t mind if someone makes a few jokes or even questions it since I think you should question everything. I’m fine as long as their actions in life are respectful the the environment. I wouldn’t wanna date a guy that throws their beer cans in the lake. That would be a turn off.

+1 ymillions of years ago when earth was one giant super continent partially covered in ice do you think the dinosaurs were concerned with global warming?
Its the earths natural cycle warming and cooling that is all. Prove me wrong with facts not hysteria or hurt feelings
00 Reply850 opinions shared on Dating topic. I'd genuinely question their intelligence cause half the problem with global warming is that it's increasing the water levels.
I couldn't date someone who denies it, just as I don't date someone who's a flat earther.10 Reply- 1.1K opinions shared on Dating topic.
+1 yI think it’s cringe when people go to extremes. Do we think that there is global warming. To an extent, sure. Is it to the portion that they say it is… doubtful. A lot of it is agenda driven, you have to figure out what the deal is behind everything they are trying to push. Don’t get caught up in all of the hype. Research and always look at all angles to see what they can gain.

+1 yIt's fine to joke about global warming but it's not okay to pretend it's not happening. As the late George Carlin frequently said "Save the planet? The planet isn't going anywhere. WE'RE fucked."
10 Reply I'm a bit of an eco freak, so I probably wouldn't date someone like that. Joking about global warming isn't a particularly big deal though... my guess is that the breakup would happen for some other reason.

+1 yI could because most women have a lot of completely different ideas about a lot of things than I do. And I like it that way, especially if they have good reasons for their ideas. Life is boring if we all agree all the time.
00 Reply 4.5K opinions shared on Dating topic. 2012 was a seminal event in Mayan calendars. Long before 2012, we found dates in their calendar after it. At the time that people predicted it, we hadn't. So it was a prediction based on incomplete evidence.
00 Reply2.6K opinions shared on Dating topic. I personally don't care, we factually see the climate changing towards more extremes, whether you actively feel motivated to do something about it really doesn't matter too much either with big companies having much more impact.
00 Reply816 opinions shared on Dating topic. Could I date someone who gets so easily riled up over silly things? also global warming isn't a very accurate term. Climate change is more appropriate.
