3.2K opinions shared on Dating topic. Sharing your life and becoming one with somebody is so very important to me it's one of the best moments in life if you can find that right person
I have gone through all the above and realized it wasn't the person for me actually knew that before I was even getting involved they took me 5 months to get her out of my house and in that five nights it really changed me
Time has passed I believe I found myself again but I seem to self-sabotage the relationships I'm in and they have only been online relationships but I self-sabotage them thinking that the same things going to happen and that's just wrong of me to do
But I can honestly say that in this time I have become a much better person than I was if I was bad or not spend this time alone allows you to find yourself an even deeper the least that you believe in and just makes you a better all-around person so when it's time when it happens you will be the best that you can possibly be
So for me the times that I have taken for myself is because when I get into a relationship I put everything into it and I want to be the best at it I know that it takes hard work and at the same time it's just a flow when both people have the same understanding the same goals and the same wants in life and when that person the right person comes around I will know it and hopefully and I don't think I will self- sabotage myself because I am actually ready00 Reply

+1 yI stopped for 20 years while beng married. It was then my wife who started dating again which led to separation. Since then I started dating again and I have now been with a wonderful woman for over a year.
It was a bit odd at first. I had never used texting before in dating. What is a green heart supposed to mean? Is that a good thing?
Plus, I waited until the third day to text her after first meeting a woman, to give her time to miss me a bit. By the time they almost forgot who I was. Now it's best to text the same evening I suppose.
I was willing to adapt, but I will always want the woman for long. No acceleration on that point.00 Reply

+1 yI got sick of being rejected, disappointed, and friendzoned. Apparently I am that person that seems to fall for the wrong guys, that or I'm just not attractive 🤷♀️
Regardless, around my late 20, early 30s, I got fed up. I was over it. So I told myself I'd take a short break from dating and come back when I was ready-
I never tried again 🤣
That sounds awful, but I'm enjoying my drama-free, no mixed messages, no hot/cold behavior, or being hurt... life at the moment. Highly recommend it to anyone sick of dealing with dating.21 Reply- +1 y
Being honest is always the best policy. If you can't be honest, there's no relationship. That includes, not saying anything too. If you never say anything/shy, how will you communicate
Just know you're worth it, everyones worth it. You just have to have confidence in yourself!

+1 yMy last relationship ended rather suddenly without much warning. We were together for almost 2 years about to move in together and he just bounced, stopped texting, stopped calling, I didn't hear anything from him for 2 weeks. Literally thought he was dead. But no he just moved back to his home town and didn't bother telling me he was going to do that or mention that he didn't want to move in with me (after I bought a house too by the way) .
Safe to say the trust issues I had worked through for years all came rocketing back in.

The dating process destroys you inside out from meeting all sorts of sexual predators to rude assholes to losers. A lot of people nowadays are shallow and are constantly looking for someone better. Nobody wants something stable, people are always looking for the next most interesting , exciting person.
I believe that an individual can very well be happy without a lover in life. When you need a lover to make you happy, it just means you aren't happy with yourself. Thats why you need someone to validate you everyday.
I'm having kids with a guy that I'm not planning on marrying. I don't think I will ever marry.00 Reply
+1 yMost of my time in life* it's unmotivativation to put effort due to how the world sees my values and morals, I have given up, if God throws someone in my way, I'll pick up on it but until then, I'm a lone wolf, me saying this isn't for sympathy tho because I appreciate everything God has given me and it's hard not to be happy and I hope this motivates anyone reading this to not feel bad about their situation.

I took a 4yr break after my first relationship. It was fun enjoying being single tbh and being able to do the things I wasn’t able to while I was in a relationship.

+1 yI didn't understand women, myself or dating, so I was intimidated, scared, frustrated, dismayed, lost, and at times... hurt. Not knowing what I was doing, lead to rejection and me botching opportunities, and dismay for the her side. easier being single (at the time).
Married now, is good!
Keep workin' it!
Step 1... look in the mirror and work on that person. you can't control others...
00 Reply 8.5K opinions shared on Dating topic. I had a time when I dated 5 different girls in one year. None of them were really good choices. After the last one I decided that I was done with dating for a while or maybe forever. I was just sick of all the games. I just never felt like anyone was really as interested as I was in having a relationship. I took this girl to a concert one night and then just stopped calling her.
Ironically, the next day was the day that I met my future wife.

Actually... this never happened to me fortunately. 😄😁 figures.
If we are for real however, i find the general disinterest from the girls to be rather discouraging and i feel encouraged to pay the courtesans for their services.
00 ReplyTaking care of my mother. She's lived with me since I was 19 & also the reason my fiance left me. She had a breakdown, can't drive, illiterate so i decided to move back from Miami to Illinois.
That wasn't in her plans & I don't blame her. We're still on good terms, I haven't dated since. Soon Mom's going to have to go to a nursing home because she's showing signs of dementia. I really like her nurse & 99% sure she feels the same so I'm asking her out next time I see her:)
