Do you believe there is someone who is attracted to every person?

I do not.

Some people are at the bottom of the barrel in terms of attractiveness and nobody is attracted to them.

This doesn't mean they don't date, have sex, get married and have kids.

But it does mean that the overwhelming majority of the population is not attracted to them.

I think it's most likely that the least attractive people get together and even though they wish for someone more good looking, they have no choice but to settle.

But people will point to those rare cases where a hideous person is with a beautiful person. I think these are examples of extremes that will always happen but are rare.

I think that there is a hierarchy of attractiveness and anyone who denies that is crazy.

I think that really the question is, is attraction decides by biology or by society. To that I do not have the answer.

Either way, I believe there IS a hierarchy of attractiveness for both men and women. And both project a hierarchy onto the other.

Of course there is. How else some become models and TV stars?

But your question and details missed out one point: that everyone ages.

This means beauty is fleeting. The same who's a model today may lost the luster a decade down the road.

And yes, wine gets sweeter through age.

Some may not be that beautiful today. But when the person matures, assets start to form, physically or financially.

These attracts.

Hence a person who's at the bottom of the barrel may floats upward through time.

PS: And of course, some got depressed and never got their assets realize. These remain at the bottom of the barrel.

There is definitely a hierarchy of attractiveness.

I reverse discriminate against the most beautiful girls because they aren't as nice. I also reverse discriminate against girls who have deliberately dressed for attention.

So I am more aiming for the middle of the pack.

I wouldn't go for the bottom rankings. An average girl can scrub up well but I don't thing the lower rankings can.

Girls definitely have their ranking scale of course. you might be a 7 guy so you should have a 7 girl. I don't need to say the 7 girl is wanting an 8 or 9 guy. So when she can, the 7 girl will upgrade and at the least will cast her bread upon the water (i. e. fuck other guys in the hope of an upgrade opp.).

In terms of your biology or society side of the question, I think both. Clothing/fashion is societal and not every girl's shape is complimented by the fashion of the moment. A slender girl looks good in anything. So I opt for it is a combo of those two.

There is only one hierarchy from my perspective and that is racial hierarchy.

An ugly white or east Asian or Latina woman can date a stunning white man due to racism.

While someone like Aishwarya Rai had to settle for an ugly man.

Time to widen your perspective. While some people are racist there are other factors. Hygiene, weight, personality, intelligence, wealth, ideology.. many more factors determine compatibility. If it was only race then long ago the dominant race (in your opinion) would have created a monopoly world wide.

Only women seem to be racially motivated. Us men think all races are beautiful in general except maybe black women due to racism.

Whereas women go for status and resources and which men have that world wide? White men.

So is it racial? What if a different race dominated the world? Women would want them instead.

But you're right that race plays a role. The question is how much and is it biological or socially derived?

@asker It can't be denied that one of the reasons white men seem more attractive is because they're seen as more powerful. It is not biological as all races have all types of people. The ones who got colonised are seen as inferior.

But that doesn't answer the question. For example, there's plenty of ugly people and they can all get together.

So there is someone for every person.

But that doesn't mean the ugliest are attracted to eachother or even happy that they have no choice but to settle for someone on their own level of attractiveness.

The hierarchy remains in tact even if everyone has someone. Even if there are rare outliers where a highly attractive person gets with the bottom of the barrel. in my opinion these things do not debunk the hierarchy of attractiveness.

Some people are not attractive based on their genes and some based on their level of health. Biology would say as humans the goal is to procreate and that we use our senses (sight, smell, hearing..) to quickly judge if the stranger will help make the best offspring. So based on that there are many people who appear to be in bad health and therefore are not seen as attractive.

That being said a person might be unhealthy in their mentality and personality as well. They may appear good looking but if they abuse or disrespect constantly that’s also not attractive.

@ asker men and women want resources and status to varying degrees. Women are not the only who value race. Why does skin color matter vs the individuals character?
