My boyfriend doesn't believe in fate, is this a bad sign?

I believe in fate. I believe we got together through fate. He doesn't believe that which is a bit off-putting. I don't want to be one of those girlfriends that thinks every little thing is a make it or break it thing but I find it's very important to me to have the same beliefs especially something as important as fate.

Maybe I'm making something out of nothing. Am I making something out of nothing or is it a bad sign?

I don't think you'll find that the majority of people will agree with you on that one. There aren't too many people who believe that fate is a real phenomenon.

Only you can decide whether that's a dealbreaker for you, but I, personally, think you're making a big deal over nothing.

If you believe that you were brought together by fate, then why would fate bring you someone who doesn't believe in it, if it's not going to work out?

Wouldn't you then be fated to break up, due to your different beliefs? If so, then what was the point of fate bringing you together, in the first place?

If you really were brought together by fate, then would that imply that you were meant to be together, despite your different beliefs?

Good questions. Maybe I'm being tested. Maybe this is my ultimate test to see if I can really be with someone with such a big difference in beliefs. But you're right I guess I am making a big deal out of it.

I'm sorry, but I'm going to be brutally honest: fate is NOT one of the important things. Those are kids or no kids, marriage or just live together, buy or rent, cat or dog. Fate isn't on that list.

You risk losing him over this and future partners as well: yours is not a widely held belief -- at least not widely held enough to have a dating life with.

No. I think you are making a big deal out of nothing honestly. 😅 Many people don't believe in fate, I don't either. It's a personal choice and I think it's not necessary for your boyfriend to believe what you believe. I don't see it as a bad sign or a deal breaker. Only women have the luxury of believing in fate, astrology, manifesting, or whatever woo woo crap because they are used to things happening for them because the men make it happen.
