Why is my new boyfriend mad at me when I asked him to send me a cute picture of himself smiling and holding a piece of paper with my name on it?

I don’t mean to be rude, but I’m curious. He’s your boyfriend and you’re dating him yet you’ve never seen him? I’m not sure if I misunderstood that part. But If that’s true then please be careful, especially with strangers online. Unfortunately it’s extremely common to be fooled by fake accounts. And remember in a case like this I recommend that you consider actions vs words. Don’t let him fool you by saying he “wants” to video call. It’ll just keep you excited but he’ll always disappoint you by using the long distance as an excuse. Once he actually does it then that’ll be something worthy. Also do screen record the video call if it ever happens, that still doesn’t guarantee that it’s a legit person.

Maybe he’s a catfish.
He’s not. He wants to video chat with me on my days off from work. He works and he is also taking a course so we are both busy and he is 1hour ahead in time difference. I work at night and by the time I get home from work, he is already in bed.
Oh that’s weird then!
you're getting catfished, hello...
i read your responses just now. if he backs out on video chatting again, be very cautious... hope your chat goes well tonight.
How old is he?
He is 30 years old.
You are an older woman and he may expect you to have more patience before asking for something personal
You don't trust him
I do trust him. I told him that I wanted the picture for a wallpaper on my phone because it would be cute.
We just spoke and it turns out he miss understood me and thought that I wanted to test him to see if he was a scammer but he now understands why I suggested it. We will be video chatting tonight after I get home from work.
