I would call the date off because a person that has the need to pull up with such a polluting car is the type of person that does not care about anything else but himself.

However, I would curse myself for not having seen that the guy is a player and that he needs to show off. That indicates that he lacks character and personality.

Also, a person (regardless of gender) that needs to show off is the kind of person that has a huge psychological issue and an ego that is unhealthy. Everything in that person shouts "look at me, look at me".
