If you introduce yourself to girl, but stopped talking for 5 months. Because you overthink.

Then you catch her outside the workplace,

(Workplace both students at campus, she works at library, I study in library)

to ask her if she interested in grabbing coffee sometime?

It would seem weird to just ask for coffee out of the blue.
I would start chatting again but explain why you stopped talking to her for those months. It's best, to be honest, if you are looking to start a relationship 😄
