Is he embarassed of our age gap?

So i recently started dating this guy that was twice my age we're great and we've clicked i've always stayed away from older guys cause i think their creeps i know horrible to judge off stereotypes. we hang out we have dinner together and go on little trips, we get each other. He has kids that are the same age as me i've never met them not that i mind and my family knows about him however he has a problem with us walking together if we do he walks a little ahead of me. in the beginning i thought it was jus cause we were going out but also taling to other people but now that its just us its suspcious. like he's embarassed of me or something. Am i just imagining things?

There's no reason in this world why he can't walk right next to you not unless he doesn't want other people to see and if that's the case who's the other people somebody that he knows maybe he's still married if I was dating an older woman or a younger woman and I was dating them I would walk right next to them he's scared of something and before I got too heavily involved I would find out what that is

He may just naturally walk faster - its easy to accidentally get in front of someone if you walk quickly - I do it - not at all intentional. If that is the only sign, I wouldn't worry, but are there other signs?

When we're outside we always sit in his car. We never go outside and I have to go out by myself to buy us food.

You may have attracted what you believed i. e that older men are creeps so in turn, he may feel like one due to the age gap...
