Why do couples live together and get married if men don’t like to be clingy?

My boyfriend isn’t clingy and he does to trips without me & I don’t live with him, at this point feel single alone 24/7. He don’t want me clingy don’t like it. Why do girls live with boyfriend and even marry if that means you need be 24/7 daily with a guy? Do errands raise baby shop daily with guy? Isn’t that clingy? I don’t get it. Or is there no such thing as a boyfriend that isn’t clingy?

Im not trying to live together until at least engaged. I like having my bed to myself. And then once we do live together, if he snores a lot, i’ll prob take the couch most nights 🤷‍♀️ I dont mind a clingy dude but im not crazy about cuddling. Makes me feel suffocated. I like it for a short while when watching a film or after having sex, but maybe 5-10 mins top, then give me my physical space lmao

Yea. Engagements usually last 6 months at the least. Thats enough time to know if i can handle living with them before marrying them. But even before engagement, we’d still spend the night at eachothers house a few times a month or year. I just ain't tryna shack up

I want a short engagement for a reason. If we’re not married within 6 months to a year after he proposed then i’d likely leave. I refuse waste my time being one of those couples engaged forever
