What social media was it on? I can think of one thing and that is she wants followers if this is social media we are talking about. Some girls are way too much into the follower thing and spam as many people as they can find to up their follows. Also could mean she saw your profile or whatever and noticed you were from the same town and decided to add you. That certainly makes sense too, especially if your from a small town.
