One of my relative friend married a lawyer. Just after 2 years of the wedding their relationship became worse and bitter. She filed a divorce case on the basis of domestic violence. She pressed so many charges you can't imagine. She made his life like hell.

Speaking as a lawyer here; absolutely not. At least, not without extremely careful vetting. I do not need that adversarial, combative energy in my home.

Lawyer - sure. Policewoman, maybe. A lot of police have attitudes that I find unacceptable, but I'm willing to give someone a chance.
