Too me its a pretty thin line which can be interpreted wrongly. If i try to be cool and not to be needy then she might see it as not intrested. Thoughts?

These are two opposite ends of the spectrum and you need to find a good middle. I guess at my age I’m not interested in the game playing and would just be upfront about liking someone, it saves a lot of time. If you can’t do that then just act within your comfort levels. Maybe that’s you being more attentive as opposed to needy, showing you like her through actions of your choosing. Ultimately it all unfolds the same and you’d have to ask her out anyway.
