I still want to be in a relationship, have that special someone, i just, have no interest in making it legal (marriage), or having kids (can't stand kids). So, do i technically need to date?

Its perfectly reasonable and valid to want a partner even if you don't want "standard " things.

I have learned though that it's very hard to find someone on the same page.

I had lots of exclusive, infatuated relationships with girlfriends even though I didn't want kids and had no intention to get married.

I think you it's fine if you're upfront about it. That's actually more reason to go on dates with a variety of women, no, not less? I would think a marriage-oriented guy like me would be far more careful about dating than an anti-marriage guy like you.
