Why would the date be cancelled? Just call, text, whatever and ask her if she's good for 20.00 or whenever you two scheduled things. If you feel dumb for not talking then work that in.

E. g "Things have been hectic but I'm looking forward to focus on you tonight. Are you good for 7?". Like its not that hard. Sure you can also ask if she is still up for it but realistically she is nervous too. Just smoothen things over and then let her know you're still wanting it. Do so as early as you can.
