How many dates until first kiss?

Some people expect at least a goodnight kiss on the first date. Some people aren't ready for that on a third or fourth date. In my relationships, the first kiss was something I always initiated, and if I felt attracted, I was okay with a goodnight kiss on the first date. But sometimes, my date was obviously not feeling the same, and trying to kiss a girl too soon can push her away. So I gauged how receptive she was by trying to hold hands with her during the date and while I was walking her to her car or the front door of her home at the end of the date. Sometimes, I would lean in for a hug, put my arms around her, and hold her a little bit longer than a friendly hug. The I would keep my arms around her but pull my face back and look into her eyes. If she wanted a kiss, she would always give me a sign, and if she didn't, I would give her a quick and simple kiss on the cheek.

It's important to clearly indicate romantic interest and make sure she knows I am not just looking for a friend, but it's awkward to have that discussion on a first date, so the goodnight kiss sends that signal. And if we have chemistry and it's a good kiss, she is thinking about it for a while afterwards.

The girl I like who likes me, we kissed, without even having gone on a date. I told her I had a surprise for her, and she's like "what, are you going to finally kiss me" and while it wasn't the surprise I had for her, later on, when I gave her, her actual surprised, I said "well, i wasn't planning on trying to kiss you, because I wasn't really sure how you felt until recently, but, why don't we just do it, it's been 10 years already, so, I'm tired of not having done it". We just did a peck on the cheek, for now, that's it. She doesn't want to "date" right now because she just got out of a relationship, but, we do know we like each other

It depends on the vibe. You wanna make sure how she feel about you before you make a move.

For example one of the dates i took girl for a walk in the park and we sit on the bench - it was nice sunny weather. We talked, she leaned bit on me, so i felt comfortable gently to put my arm around her and talked more at one point we were out of things to say and gently smiled to each other and thats where i went for kiss :)

That can veri depending on how the date goes.

You can have a good date but no attraction to each other, kind of like dating your sister, or you can be undressing each other with your teeth at the front door or anything in-between.

No hard set rules for that.

You will know if and when it is time.

When I'm comfortable. If it was a really nice date I do kiss them on the first date. Sometimes I wait till the second or longer if they're more comfortable with that. I can wait.

There's no hard and fast rule. If your chemistry reaches that level on the first date, why not just make it better with a kiss. Sometimes one date isn't enough to get to know their actual vibes, then the kiss can wait.
