I have a hard time believing someone can be on good terms with everyone. My first thought would be it's either because he hardly know anyone, are social, or because he's very naive.

But hey, I'm ready to be proven wrong, good for him if that's true.

Now, I'm 28. So if the other person hasn't had any dating experience, whom I would assume would be my age, then the question goes to, why? Is there a reason for that? And why date now all of a sudden then? Would I have to teach him everything then? Would he put my experience against me?

I don't smoke either, so that's the biggest plus ever.
I do drink, though not that much anymore, but would love to go out with my friends, and have my eventual possible future boyfriend to join us. So would he be okay with being around people who drink? Or is it something he's against?

So a lot of questions come up. I wouldn't say it makes me excited.

But all in all, none of it is a deal breaker. Most important stuff is what sort of person he is and whether or not we like each other and are compatible in life and such.

No, I think some dating experience is neccessary to have a good relationship. If you have dated before you have ran into problems and you had a chance to learn from them. You know what it means to be in a relationship and you know what is expected of you. Next to that you've had a chance to get to know yourself better, you have a better idea of your own wants and needs and you have a better understanding of what you expect from a partner. It makes communication in my opinion a lot better.
I do prefer non smokers and I don't mind someone who doesn't drink. But I do need someone with a little life experience.

That's probably the first thing I'd ask, and why is he single...

If someone is that good, it wouldn't excite me so much as concern me. First- why no dating experience? Is he very picky, scared?

And why is he single? If he's such a catch, why isn't he seeing anyone?
Again, that's just me being cynical and wary, but you did ask! Heck he could be the perfect guy for and have nothing wrong... I'd just need to get to know him first.

would be fine with it though normally its me in your description. i get told im too good to be true or whats the catch all the time for being overly responsible and as you describe, but if people only took the time to know my background it would all make sense why i am the way i am.

I mean, I doubt I'd be able to maintain a relationships with someone who smokes or has some kind of addiction just because of my personal morals, and my (lack of) ability to support someone working through those things. But I don't really care about stuff like dating experience, etc. Even "not having baggage" is a form of baggage really. No one is happy all the time and no one gets along with everyone. It's not natural.
